Here's a classic Paneer Tikka Masala, one of the most popular veg restaurant style recipes. The flavors are not too overpowering but just as delish.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gm paneer
  • 100 gm curd
  • Salt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 medium onions sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes pureed
  • 1 teaspoon dhania powder
  • 1 teaspoon jeera powder
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 100 gm fresh cream
  • 2 tablespoon oil or butter
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped finely
  • Chopped green coriander leaves to garnish
  • 2 teaspoon roughly chopped cashews

Instructions
 

  • Cut the paneer into small cubes.
  • Temper the mustard seeds and shut off the flame and add jeera powder, bell pepper, Coriander powder and 1 teaspoon garam masala to it.
  • Take half of the mix and add to the curd.
  • Add the ginger garlic chilli paste, salt and mix well.
  • Add this to the paneer cubes and marinate it for about 1-2 hours in the fridge.
  • Heat a pan and add oil to it. Add the sliced onions and fry till light brown.
  • Add the remaining masala mix , red chilli powder and the tomato puree.Let cook till it looks well fried.
  • Add about 300 ml water and chopped cashews.
  • Let it boil on slow.Meanwhile grill the paneer in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Add this marinade to the boiling gravy.
  • Add remaining garam masala and adjust all seasonings. Add fresh cream and let it come to a boil.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with a naan, ghee paratha or boiled jeera rice.
