A chapata and healthy chaat recipe with step by step pictures. It is easy and quick to prepare and utterly delicious. This recipe is made using boiled potatoes, boiled soaked channa and matar and spiced up with chopped onions, chillies, tomatoes, masala powder, Amchur powder with dash of raw mustard Oil and lemon juice. This can be a great snack or can be served as a perfect starter.

Ingredients
  

  • Kala Chana - ½ cup soaked
  • Green Matar - ½ cup soaked
  • Potatoes - 2
  • Onion - 1 chopped
  • Tomato - 1 chopped
  • Green & Red chilies - 2-3 chopped or as per your taste
  • Ginger - ½ inch chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 2-3 tbsp chopped
  • Chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - ½ tsp
  • Garam masala powder - ½ tsp
  • Pepper powder - to taste
  • Salt
  • Mustard oil - 1 tbsp
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Water - ½ cup

Instructions
 

  • In a pressure cooker add the peeled potato, soaked chana and matar, and half a cup of water. Pressure cook till 3-4 whistles and let the pressure release by itself.

  • In a bowl mix together chilies, tomatoes, coriander leaves, ginger, and onions.

  • In another bowl add the pressure cooked chana, matar and chopped potatoes. Add all the remaining ingredients except lemon juice and mix well.

  • Squeeze the juice of lemon just before serving.
