Stir Fry Okra / Stir Fry Bindi

This is a very simple stir fried okra recipe prepared using only 6-7 ingredients which are readily avaible in our kitchen and that too in less than 20 mins. It is a great side dish and a soul satisfying and comfort food.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gms Bhindi/ Ladies Finger
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2-3 Green Chilly slit or chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chilly powder
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Wash the ladies finger and pat them dry in kitchen towel. Trim off both the ends and slit them into 3-4 lengthwise slices.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the onion and green chillies, season with salt and fry till onion turns soft.
  • Add the ladies finger ,crushed pepper, red chilly powder and stir fry them for about 15-18 mins or till the ladies fingers is soft and cooked.
  • Remove from heat and serve.
