Anar sooji halwa is a fusion recipe made by using pomegranate in the preparation of the regular sooji ka halwa. The tanginess of the pomegranate makes it a great combination. It is also a healthy snack for kids.

Ingredients
  

  • Sooji - 2 tbsp
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 and a half tsp
  • Water - half a cup
  • Pomegranate juice - 2 tbsp
  • Pomegranate seeds - a handful divided into half

Instructions
 

  • Shell the pomegranate seeds and extract their juice. Keep a few seeds aside for garnish also.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and roast the sooji till light brown.
  • Now add the water and let it cook completely for about 5 minutes.
  • Once all the water has been absorbed, add the pomegranate juice and a few seeds. Stir well for half a minute.
  • Now add the sugar and cook for another minute. Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds and serve.
