Vermicelli Payasam

Vermicelli payasam is a delicious sweet dish recipe often made during festivals or during certain occasions.

  • 1/2 cup vermicelli
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Few strends of Kesar
  • Dry fruits raisins cashew nuts as per your choice.


  • Fry vermicilli in one tablespoon ghee till golden brown.
  • Add hot boiling water 1/4 cup and Cook vermicelli till tender and water is absorbed.
  • Add sugar and cook for two minutes Now add hot boiling milk, dry fruits, cardamom powder and kesar.
