Diet Vermicelli [Zero Oil]

  • Vermicelli [ made of semolina/sooji ] 2 cups
  • Brocoli small Florets 4-5
  • Carrots chopped 2 tbsp
  • Green/Yellow/Red bell peppers chopped 2tbsp
  • Peanuts 2tbsp
  • Curry Leaves 8-
  • Onion Finally Chopped 2 tbsp
  • Ginger Finally Chopped 1/4 tsp
  • Green Chili Finally Chopped [as per taste]
  • Black Mustard Seed Powder[Kali Sarson] 1/2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper 1/4 tsp [optional]
  • Cabbage Chopped 1/2 cup


  • Heat a wok. Dry roast mustard seeds and curry leaves. Once nice aroma comes out add peanuts & roast it. Now add all the vegetables,onion,tomatoes,ginger,chili along with some salt. Cook covered on a slow flame for 5-6 min.Stir in between.
  • The vegetables will cook in there own water.If the vermicelli is not pre roasted then roast it in a separate pan.Mix this roasted vermicelli with vegetables add a cup of water.Adjust salt. Add ground black pepper. Cook covered for 4-5 min.serve hot.


  • All vegetables will cook in their own water however if u see it sticking to the base of the wok add little water.
