Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup quinoa
  • 1/4 cup moong dal
  • 1/4 cup bottle gourd pieces
  • 1/4 cup jackfruit pieces
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch of asafoetida hing
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 2 spring curry leaves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Salt

  • Wash and soak the quinoa for 15 minutes. So it will easy to cook.

  • Dry roast the moong dal so it will give a good aroma. Then wash for cooking.

  • Peal off the bottle gourd and cut into small cubic sizes.

  • Jackfruit cut into small cubic sizes and give a steam bath.

  • Boil the quinoa with moong dal, ginger paste, bottle gourd and salt. Take a wok give tempering with cumin seeds, hing, onion. Add the jackfruit, curry leaves and green chillies then add cooked quinoa.

  • Mix all together finally add cinnamon powder. If you want runny Khichdi, can be added little more water. Again cook for a minute. If you don't want watering so it is ready to serve.
