Chinese chicken dish always a comfort food for me, I love to eat Chinese food a lot ,among them Orange chicken is one of my favorite. Orange chicken most commonly found at all Chinese restaurants consists of battered fried chicken pieces coated in a sweet and sour orange flavored sauce. Easy recipe,tasty dish,smiling face of family what else you need for a weekend family dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 boneless chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • I tsp corn flour for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt for seasoning

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl add corn flour ,all purpose flour,egg , salt , black pepper and mix it well. Add chicken pieces mix well and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in frying pan. Add chicken pieces carefully, fry until golden brown on both sides about 3 to 5 minutes, Take it out on a paper towel.
  • In a large pan add orange juice,soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar,sesame oil,salt,red pepper, garlic and ginger and mix well.
  • Heat until starts to thicken. Add corn flour to ¼ cup of water and mix well .Add it on the sauce mixture. Boil for another 1 to 2 minutes. Coat the fried chicken in the sauce and serve hot.
