Aloo chaat or alu chaat is the name of a street food originating from the Indian subcontinent, it is popular in North India.
Yield / Serves
3 large potatoes
1 onion finely chopped
5 tablespoons green chutney
1/2 cup dates chutney (khajur ki chutney)
Nylon sev (barikh sev)
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Chat masala for sprinkle
Roasted cumin powder for sprinkle
Oil for deep fry
Peel potatoes n cut into small chunks. Wash it in running water and the pat dry on paper towel. Heat oil in kadhai n deep fry potatoes till it done crispy from outside n soft from inside. Transfer it on absorbing paper.
Take fried potatoes in mixing bowl, add green chutney, khajur chutney and onion, mix all ingredients very gently. Serve this potatoes in 4 bowls.
Sprinkle some chat masala and cumin powder on all over potatoes bowls, topping with nylon sev and coriander leaves.
Aloo chat is ready to eat. Serve this immediately.
