Oats Uttappa Vegetables Sandwich

  • 2 cup ukda rice
  • 1 cup instant oats
  • 1 cup organic whole urad
  • Water for batter
  • Salt
  • 1 cup Mix vegetables like simla mirch carrot, tomato, onion-finely cut
  • A pieces of carrots and cucumber


  • Wash and soak the rice and dal , separately for 6 hours. Grind to smooth batter and keep overnight to ferment.
  • Next morning add salt. In a non-stick pan make round thick uttappas. Sprinkle all cut vegetables on top.
  • Cook till golden brown on both sides. Cut into small rounds. Serve as sandwiches after applying any chutney and stuff with vegetables like cucumber and carrot.
