4 Quick-And-Easy Stuffed Dates Recipes - Plattershare - Recipes, Food Stories And Food Enthusiasts
    Table of Contents

We are already in love with dates and its sweet, caramel goodness. But it is high time you are introduced
to the delight that are stuffed dates! If you haven’t heard about it yet, stuffed dates are boiled dates
typically filled with meat, mint, goat cheese, and parsley. This treat is a popular Levantine dish (from the
present-day region encompassing Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Turkey) and is usually served on
rice or bulgur – a cereal food originating in Middle Eastern cuisine.

    How to Make Stuffed Dates

If you’re using Medjool dates, these types tend to be intensely sweet and contrast pretty well with salty
flavours such as cured meat and cheese. They also go well with warm flavours from spices like
cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger. Dates also pair spectacularly with fruits like apples, bananas, and
pears. Basically, you have a lot of options for you to select from, keeping in mind what pairs well with
dates. Dates are perfect for stuffing since after pitting them, there’s a hollow space left from where the
pit was popped out. Check out the following recipes below for quick and easy stuffed dates desserts and
    appetizers to satisfy your cravings:

    Easy Stuffed Dates

All you need to make these stuffed dates are the following: pitted Medjool dates, soft goat cheese,
crushed pistachios, smoke paprika, and a little bit of flaky sea salt and fresh ground pepper to complete
the toppings. Make sure that your goat cheese has softened at room temperature to make it easier to
work with. You can also opt to drizzle a little bit of honey on top to enhance the overal  l flavour of this
treat. Check out the recipe here.

    Rainbow Tiramisu Dates

For this recipe, all you need are pitted dates, Turkish coffee, cocoa powder, honey-sweetened
mascarpone, and rainbow sprinkles. First, roll the dates in Turkish coffee and cocoa powder. Then, fill it
with mascarpone filling and top with some rainbow sprinkles.

Vegan Nut Butter Stuffed Chocolate Dates

Just as the name suggests, this stuffed date recipe will need soft and creamy nut butter, Medjool dates,
hazelnuts, vegan dark chocolate, and shredded desiccated coconut. Dates covered in chocolate have
always been a delightful treat bursting with flavours. The bitterness of dark chocolate meshes perfectly
with the caramel sweetness of Medjool dates. Stuff the dates with creamy nut butter and two hazelnuts
and freeze for 10 minutes. Finish by drizzling some melted chocolate on top of the stuffed dates or
dipping them in the melted chocolate. This recipe is both dairy-free and vegan.

    Apple Crisp Stuffed Dates

For this recipe, you’ll be needing Medjool dates, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, butter, and granny
smith apples. For the streusel filling, combine oats and butter along with the spices mentioned
previously and stir well. Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds to melt the butter then cook for another
30 to 60 more seconds until the mixture is crispy and golden brown. Finally, stuff each date with a slice
of apple and the crispy streusel mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Try out this range of stuffed date recipes and see for yourself how dates can be the perfect snack,
appetizer, and dessert all together. You can eventually experiment with a combination of fillings and
dates and come up with your very own stuffed date recipes.
