Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Oo Mugi barley about 250 grams (1 packet)
  • 2 medium sized onion finely chopped
  • Half cup peas/matar fresh or frozen
  • Half cup chopped french beans chopped
  • Half cup chopped carrots chopped into cubes
  • Half cup sliced or chopped mushrooms
  • Half cup chopped capsicum chopped into cubes
  • 3 tbsp oil or ghee
  • 3-4 medium garlic cloves/lahsun
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds/jeera
  • Salt
  • Pepper and Garam Masala
  • Butter

Instructions
 

  • Soak the Oo Mugi barley in water for 1-2 hours. drain and keep the Oo Mugi barley rice aside.

  • Heat 3 tbsp ghee or oil in a pan add cumin seeds, chopped onions and garlic cloves.

  • Saute on a low flame, till the onions are golden and then add all the chopped veggies including mushroom and peas.

  • Saute for 5 to 7 minutes on a low flame add salt, pepper and garam masala

  • Gently let cook all the veggies till the salt and masala mixes well.
  • Now take a bowl add the drained Oo Mugi Barley layer wise. One layer barley one layer cooked veggies (2-3 layers)

  • Put butter, cover it and microwave for 10 – 15 minutes.
