Maithi Medu Vadas – (Step by step Photos)

Medu vadas are staple food of South india region. As winter is going on so I have added maithi (fenugreek leaves) to the vadas and gave it a nice twist .

Instructions
- First, soak urad dal in enough water for about 4 hours. Wash and drain all the water.
- Now, in the grinder, grind the dal using a little water to make a fine paste.
- Now, take the dal batter and beat it well with a hand beater until the batter becomes fluffy. Add chopped fenugreek leaves, ginger-green chilli paste, cumin seeds, and salt to taste. Mix thoroughly.
- Now, wet your palm, take a small portion of the batter, flatten it with your fingers, and create a small hole in the center.
- Fry these vadas in medium-hot oil until they become golden brown.
- Maithi medu vadas are ready. Serve with coconut chutney .
Notes
- You can use spinach leaves also instead of maithi leaves.
