Idly With Barley

In this modern century we all are health conscious. So let me try Idly with barley combination.

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/3 cup urad dal
  • 1/4 cup barley
  • Salt
  • 1/2 cup Curd


  • Over night soaked rice, urad dal and barley. Next day morning make a smooth batter with little bit salt.
  • Add 1/2 cup curd with the batter blend with spatula. Blend click wise and will become fluffy.
  • Now greece the mould and pour 3/4 in each mould.
  • Steam for fifteen minutes. Then remove from the mould.
  • Serve with fresh coconut Chutney and Sambhar.


It is very soft and light due to barley.
