Hyderabadi Bhuna chicken is a mouth watering spicy yet subtle flavoured preperation.It is very healthy and nutritious especially for kids. Here is this simple recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
  • Curd 1/2 cup
  • Ginger 1 inch piece
  • Garlic cloves 8-10
  • Cashews 10-15
  • Garam Masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder as per taste
  • Dhania powder 1 tsp
  • Haldi powder 1/4 tsp
  • Butter or Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash chicken nicely.
  • Make a paste of curd ginger garlic cashews garam Masala dhania chili powder haldi powder & salt using a grinder.
  • Marinate chicken with this entire paste. Keep aside for 1 hr.
  • Heat a heavy bottom pan or wok . Put this marinated chicken in the pan & cover with a lid. Simmer the flame.
  • Cook for 10 min . Stir in between. Chicken will cook in its own juices. Check using a fork if it is cooked after 10 min.
  • If it is not cooked then again cover it & cook for 3-5 min. If their is no juice left add little water.
  • Once it is completely cooked & the water is all dried add ghee or butter. Mix well. & fry for another 2- 3 min on medium flame.
  • Serve hot with dahi wali roti , or laccha paratha

Notes

  • Always use small boneless pieces of chicken for this recipe 
  • If you omit / reduce cashews & ghee from this recipe you can include it in your weight loss menu
  • Low flame is the key to this recipe because if the juices are burnt chicken will not be cooked properly.
  • Almonds can also be used in place of cashews
