Bunny Chow is a South African street food. It is developed by the early migrant Indians. Bunny Chow is a tasty and easy dish.
Ginger and garlic paste- 1.5tbsp
Salt to taste
Red chili powder- 1/2tsp
Cumin powder- 1/2tsp
Coriander powder- 1/2tsp
Garam masala - 1tsp
Bay leaf- 1
Cinnamon- 1inch piece
Green Cardamom- 3
Green chili- 2chopped
Sugar- 1/2tsp (optional)
Whole bread- 2
Chopped Coriander leaves- 3tbsp
Cut the whole bread into half. Then scope out the middle portion of the bread making a cavity and keep aside
Wash and clean chicken. Chop onions, tomatoes and green chili. Clean potatoes and cut into half
Heat oil in a kadai, add all the whole spices and let it crackle.
Then add chopped onion to it and saute up to golden brown. Then add ginger and garlic paste and saute again.
Now add all the spices,vinegar and sugar( if adding), saute up to oil separates
Add the chicken to it and start cooking. Shen pieces are cover and coated with spices, add potatoes to it and saute again.
Cook this up to dry in high flame. Stir it very frequently
Now add water to cover the pieces. Cover it and cook up to chickren is soft and potato is cooked
Bring the holed bread, pour a ladel full of chicken curry in that cavity with chicken pieces, potato and gravy. In the side serve some salad or pickle
