Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Jackfruit
  • 2 Onions chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger chopped
  • 1 Green chilies chopped or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon Amchur powder
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder to taste
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • ½ cup Yogurt
  • ½ tbsp Coriander chopped, for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Peel and cut the jackfruit into bite sized pieces. Remove the seeds peel them and chop roughly.
  • You can remove the seeds and cook them separately too.Boil the jackfruit in salted water until become soft. Remove the excess water.
  • Heat the oil and fry Jackfruit until golden brown. Keep aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan saute chopped onions, garlic and ginger until onion turns golden brown.
  • Add turmeric powder and cook for few seconds, add chopped tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili Powder, garam Masala and chopped green chilies. Mix well and cook for few seconds.
  • Add fried jackfruit mix well. Add Yogurt and ¼ cup water or as required mix quickly and thoroughly. Cover the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes (stir in between).
  • Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with roti or paratha.
