Kombucha Tea is a fermented refreshing probiotic tea prepared using organic black tea leaves, Sulphur less sugar and SCOBY (syndicate colony of bacteria and yeast) with little quantity of kombucha starter tea.
Lot of studies report that, Kombucha adds healthy gut bacteria's, fight candida, detoxifies our body and helps to maintain a healthy liver.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 liter Drinking water
  • 2 Black tea bags Organic
  • 4 tablespoon Sugar sulphur less
  • 5 tablespoon Kombucha Tea Starter premade
  • 1 Kombucha SCOBY disk

Instructions
 

  • Boil drinking water in a big steel vessel and remove the vessel from the stove.
  • Add sugar and tea bags to the hot water and stir well until sugar is dissolved.
  • Let the vessel sit for 2-3 hours until the tea cools down to room temperature.
  • Pour the tea mixture to glass jar, drop the Kombucha SCOBY disk and premade kombucha tea starter.

  • Cover the jar mouth with close knit cloth and secure the cloth with rubber band.

  • Keep the jar in well ventilated area, away from sun light and children. Let it ferment up to 7-15 days. (For 7 days the fermentation will be light and for 15 days it would be strong, as per your taste you can stop fermentation )

Notes

Flavoring Options: After fermentation, you can flavor Kombucha tea with fresh lemon juice or ginger juice to enhance the taste and serve it chill. Kombucha tea has a strong flavor, adding pomegranate or cranberry juice, or blending with some berries, would make a great drink.
  1. While fermentation, you can see a thin layer developing and covering the tea, this is baby SCOBY which can be shared with your friends or used to ferment another jar of Kombucha tea in the next batch.
  2. Don’t forget to preserve little starter Kombucha tea for next batch.
  3. Store the prepared kombucha tea in glass bottle and place in fridge.
