Boondi Raita is a classic side dish from India and neighbouring countries. Yogurt or Indian curd is the basic ingredient that gives the flavor, creamy texture and taste to the dish. There are so many varieties of raitas. Various ingredients like onions, tomatoes, cucumber, fruits.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup boondi
  • 2 cup curd chilled
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin pwr
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli pwr
  • 1 pinch black peppers
  • 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 tbsp coriender leaves chopped
  • 1/4 cup boondi
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Combine curds and ¼ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well.
  • Add the chilli powder, chaat masala,sugar, cumin seeds powder and salt black pepper, black salt and mix well.
  • Add the boondi and coriander and mix well.
  • Serve the Boondi Raita along with Paratha, Biryani or Pulao to make your meals wholesome.

Notes

For soft boondi, refrigerate the raita for 15 to 20 minutes and then serve.
you can soak the boondi in enough water for 15 minutes, drain it and squeeze out the excess water and add it to the curds.
