Paneer Jalfrezi basically is an Indian style stir-fry dish which tastes delicious and looks beautiful. A low-calorie paneer dish that has contrasting textures with melt in the mouth soft paneer and the bell peppers provide a flavourful crunch. It makes for a wonderful filling with wraps and a good side dish with chappatis.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams - Paneer
  • 2 tablespoon - oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 2-3 - Dried red chilies
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 medium Onion cut into strips
  • 1 medium tomato chopped
  • 1 medium tomato cut into strips
  • 1/2 medium Green Capsicum cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 green chilies chopped
  • 1- inch ginger cut into juliennes
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and saute for 30 seconds, add chopped onions and saute for 2 minutes, add ginger paste and saute.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder and salt and add chopped tomatoes, 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder,1 teaspoon tomato puree and saute till oil separates from side of pan wall. Now are onion masala is ready.
  • Heat 2 teaspoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, dry red chilies, chopped green chili, ginger julienne and saute.
  • Add sliced onion and toss, add tomato strips and toss, add capsicum strips and toss then add onion masala, 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup, salt, 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix well.
  • Add paneer strips and chopped coriander and toss and mix well. Our paneer jalfrazi is ready to serve.
