Poha (1 bowl)
Milk (1 liter)
Dry coconut grated ( half small bowl)
Raisins (8-10 no)
Cashew-nuts (5-6 no)
Almonds (5-6 no)
Sugar (half small bowl)
Boil the 1 liter milk in a broad vessel.
Side by side clean the poha with water and drain the water completely. Ensure that the poha does not stick after draining the water.
Once the milk is boiled, slowly add the poha in the milk.
Add the sugar as per your taste and liking.
Cook the kheer till the poha cooks completely,say for about 10-15 mins.
Switch off the flame and add the cardamom powder,cut the cashew-nuts almonds in small pieces.
Add all the three dry fruits & grated dry coconut and serve.
The poha kheer is ready.
You can use slight thin poha also to make this kheer.
