Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Ghee
  • 1/2 kg Chicken
  • 1 teaspoon Peppercorns black
  • 4 to 5 Green chilies
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Green cardamom
  • 2 Black cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 2 Star anise
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 3 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 4 Onions thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1.5 cup Rice
  • 3 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken with yogurt,ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder and red chilli powder and keep for 15 min.
  • Heat ghee in a deep pan add onions and salt and saute till goden brown then take it out..
  • Then in same ghee add all whole spices ,green chilli and cook for 2 min then add chicken and put all dry spices and salt.
  • Then in another pan add 3 cup water and cook 1.5 cup rice till half done then strain it.
  • In same pan of chicken mixture remove some of mixture and then start adding layers of rice then put chicken mixture in each layer and add fried onions.
  • Kneed whole wheat soft dough and put it in on top cover of pan then cover it and put a heavy utensil and cook for half and hour then add more ghee on top before serving.
