Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 100 gm Puffed Rice khoi
- 100 gm Date Palm Jaggery
- 1/2 cup Milk condensed
- 1/4 cup Water
Nuts and Dried Fruits
- 1/4 cup Pistachios
- 1/4 cup Raisins
- 1/4 cup Cashews
Instructions
- In a frying pan over medium heat, combine the date palm jaggery, condensed milk, and water.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until the jaggery dissolves and the mixture begins to thicken slightly. This creates the base for the moa.
- Add the pistachios, raisins, and cashews. Stir to combine.
- Add the puffed rice (khoi) to the pan. Gently fold the puffed rice into the jaggery mixture until it's evenly coated. Be careful not to crush the puffed rice.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. It should be warm enough to handle but not too hot.
- Lightly wet your hands with water to prevent sticking. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round balls. The moisture helps bind the moa together.
- Place the Joynagarer Moa on a plate or tray and allow them to cool completely. They will firm up as they cool.
- Serve and enjoy your homemade Joynagarer Moa!
