Jackfruit Seekh Kebab

If you want to eliminate non-vegetarian food like meat but you like the meaty texture, jackfruit is the best substitute. Meat is fleshy, but jackfruit has fiber. It doesn't contain cholesterol and unhealthy fat. If you add spice in jackfruit it taste similar as non-vegetarian.
Now a days in Western country people are searching for vegan recipe. That is jackfruit it's popularity is everywhere. People think kebab is made from mutton. Here I am going to share with you how to veg kebab with jackfruit.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bowl jackfruit boiled
  • 1/2 cup bengal gram flour roasted
  • 2 tbsp coriander powder roasted
  • 2 teaspoon cumin powder roasted
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon kebab masala
  • 1 pinch nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mango powder
  • 1/2 cup puffed rice powder
  • 1 tbsp pure ghee
  • Oil for shallow fry
  • Salt to taste
  • Wooden sticks for kebab

Instructions
 

  • Soak the wooden sticks for 20 minutes in water.
  • Make a smooth paste with boiled jackfruit. Take a bowl add the paste.
  • Then add roasted Bengal gram powder, roasted coriander powder, roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder, cinnamon powder, ginger powder, red chilly powder, kebab masala, pure ghee and nutmeg powder.
  • Mix all ingredients with jackfruit paste. Make a smooth dough and give a cylindrical shape. Every kebab with separate seekh and keep aside.
  • Make a powder with puffed rice. Spread in a plate, coat all kebab with puffed rice powder.
  • Now take a frying pan add 2 tbsp oil and place the kebab on frying pan. Shallow fry the kebab both sides.
  • Garnish with mint leaves. Serve the kebab as a snacks. People will enjoy the recipe.
