Idly With Gun Powder

  • Roasted daal 1 cup
  • Red chilli 4 to 6
  • Oil 4 tsp
  • Tamarind half cup
  • Asafoetida 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 3 tsp
  • Salt


  • Gunpowder Chutney is made by roasted daal. Add oil in a heated pan add roasted daal stir till Brown. Add red chilli, tamarind, asafoetida, sesame seeds, jaggery and salt.
  • Grind it in a mixer coarsely. Store in a air tight container.
  • It can be used in IDLY and dosa etc.
  • Make instant IDLY and spread gunpowder.
  • Enjoy the IDLY with gunpowder and Sambhar.
