Instructions

Prepare the Yeast Mixture

  • In a small bowl, combine lukewarm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the mixture and let it stand for 5 minutes, or until foamy.

Make the Dough

  • In a large bowl, combine all dry dough ingredients (flours, sesame seeds, flaxseed meal, salt, pepper, oregano). Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Mix well to form a rough dough.

First Rise

  • Grease a bowl and place the dough inside. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for 40-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Topping

  • Finely chop the vegetables. In a bowl, combine the soaked, squeezed, and seasoned soya granules with the chopped vegetables, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix well.

Second Rise and Shaping

  • Punch down the dough and knead it briefly. Divide the dough into desired portions. Roll out each portion into your desired shape. I shaped it into a teddy bear!

Preheat and Prepare Baking Sheet

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly dust a baking sheet with cornmeal.

First Bake

  • Place the rolled dough on the prepared baking sheet, prick with a fork, and bake for 4-5 minutes.

Add Sauce and Toppings

  • Remove the pizza crusts from the oven. Spread homemade pizza sauce evenly over each crust. Top with the prepared vegetable and soya mixture. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese.

Final Bake

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Decorate and Serve

  • Use tomato slices and olive halves to create a smiley face. Serve hot!

Recipe Notes

Expert Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder to the dough.
  • Feel free to experiment with other vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, or zucchini.
  • If you don't have homemade pizza sauce, use a high-quality store-bought version.
  • To make the pizza more visually appealing, use cookie cutters to shape the dough into fun forms before baking.
