Ingredients
Mangoes
- 3 Alphonso Mango or other ripe mangoes; approximately 1.5 lbs total, ripe
Milk & Sweetener
- 1 cup Milk chilled, full-fat milk recommended
- 1 cup Milk chilled, full-fat milk recommended
- 1/2 cup Milk chilled, full-fat milk recommended for adjusting consistency
- 1/4 cup Sugar Or Honey adjust to your sweetness preference
Garnish
- 5 Almonds blanched
- 8 Pistachios shelled
- 1 cup Water for blanching nuts
Instructions
Prepare the Mangoes
- Peel and roughly chop the 3 ripe Alphonso mangoes.
Blanch the Nuts
- Bring 1 cup of water to a simmer in a small saucepan. Add 5 almonds and 8 pistachios. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the nuts soak for 5 minutes.
Blend the Mango Mixture
- Combine the chopped mangoes, 1/4 cup of sugar (or honey), and 1 cup of chilled milk in a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Add Remaining Milk
- Add another cup of chilled milk and blend again until well combined. If needed, add the remaining 1/2 cup of milk to reach your desired consistency.
Prepare the Garnish
- Drain the blanched nuts. Peel the skins off the almonds and pistachios. Chop them coarsely or leave whole, as desired.
Assemble and Serve
