- 1/4 cup Gram Flour also known as besan

- 2 tbsp Almonds slivered or flaked
Instructions
Prepare the Semolina
- Dry roast the semolina in a wok or large pan over medium heat until it turns a light golden brown. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Set aside to cool.
Roast the Gram Flour
- In the same wok, heat the ghee over low heat. Add the gram flour and cook, stirring constantly, until it turns a deep golden brown. This process takes time and patience; low and slow is key to prevent burning and achieving a rich flavor.
Combine and Cook
- Add the roasted semolina to the gram flour mixture. Mix well to combine. Stir in the brown sugar.
Add Water and Simmer
- Gradually add the water, stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently. Continue to cook until the halwa thickens and most of the water has evaporated. The consistency should be thick and creamy.
Finishing Touches
