Cottage Cheese/Paneer Stuffed Khandavi

khandavi is very delish and healthy breakfast of india . i have stuffed cottage cheese/paneer into these khandavi for making this breakfast more healthy. as cottage cheese /paneer is rich source of protein so this breakfast recipe is a great option for breakfast. this is a microwave recipe.

  • 1 cup besan or bengal gram flour
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2 cup Water
  • Salt
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 2 tsp ginger green chilli paste
  • For tempering - 1 tbsp oil some mustard seeds , 5-6 curry leaves
  • For green stuffing - 1 cube crumbled paneer and 1tsp basic green chutney mix both ingredients well
  • For green stuffing - 1 cube crumbled paneer and 1 tsp tomato sauce mix both ingredients well


  • Mix besan, curd, water, salt,turmeric powder, ginger and green chilli paste and sugar. Mix all ingredients well.
  • Now strain this batter and pour it in a microwave safe bowl or dish and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  • Stir and again microwave it high for 5 minutes.
  • Grease the 2 big plate or thali and spread the spoonful of the batter on each thali.
  • Wait for 5-7 minutes, now put red stuffing on first thali/plate and spread all over on batter.
  • Now put green stuffing on second thali/plate and spread all over on the batter.
  • Cut the khandavi on each thali lengthwise into equal portion. And roll up gently.
  • For the tempering - just before serving heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds when they start to crackle, add curry leaves. Pour this tempering on the Khandavi. Serve hot and enjoy.


  • i have used paneer or cottage cheese as a stuffing u can use peas or coconut also as a stuffing . 
  • this is a  microwave recipe but u can make this in pan or even in cooker also .
