Ingredients
- ½ cup finger millet vermicelli
- ½ litre milk
- ½ cup organic sugar
- A generous pinch of cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoon cashew nuts
- 2 tablespoon raisins
- 10 Almonds
- 3 teaspoon MTR Badam milk powder optional
- Ghee as required
- Saffron strands for decoration

Instructions
- Soak almonds in little hot water for 30 minutes.
- Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee and roast finger millet vermicelli.
- Heat another teaspoon of ghee, fry cashew nuts and raisins. Set aside.
- Peel the almonds and grind them to a coarse paste.
- Boil the milk, add roasted finger millet vermicelli.
- Allow the vermicelli to cook in the boiled milk for 4 - 5 minutes.
- Add the almond paste and cook for another 2 minutes in low flame.
- Add sugar and stir the mixture until sugar dissolves.
- Turn off the flame; add cardamom powder, MTR badam milk powder and fried nuts & raisins.
- Mix in few saffron strands and transfer to a serving bowl.
Notes
If you are not using MTR badam milk powder, just increase sugar by 2 more teaspoons if you prefer.
