Tomato Rice – plain steamed rice cooked with tangy-spicy mixture of sauteed tomato, onion, coriander leaves and Indian spices. It is also known as Tomato Bath and thakali bath in Southern states of India

Ingredients
- 2 ½ – 3 cups Steamed Rice Plain Cooked Rice
- Asafoetida - 1 pinch Hing
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 Green Chilli finely chopped
- 5-6 Curry Leaves
- 3 large tomato finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- A pinch of Turmeric Powder
- 4 tablespoon finely chopped Coriander Leaves
- Salt
- 3 tablespoon Oil
- 3 medium size potatoes cut into small pieces
- 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala

Instructions
- Heat oil in wok, add asaefotida n saute for few seconds. Add curry leaves n let the splutter. Add onion n saute till it get little brown. Add ginger garlic paste n saute for 2minutes on low flame.
- Add tomato n cook on low flame for 3minutes. Add green chilies, some coriander leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder n cook till oil starts floating on all over masala.
- Add little water n potatoes cook till potatoes done. When potatoes done add rice n mix well.
- Your are done. Serve in plate n garnish with coriander leaves
Notes
Add required water in which potatoes cooked well.
