Thondakaya pachadi is an ivy gourd chutney.
I learnt this recipe from chef Kamala. This is a healthy chutney.

Ingredients
- 100 gm Ivy Gourd
- 1 to Tomato
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 5 gm Chana Dal
- 5 gm Urad Dal
- 1 Green Chillies
- 1 Red Chillies (dry)
- 2 tsp tamarind (pulp)
- 2 tsp Grated Coconut
- 1 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- to Mint (leaf garnish)

Instructions
- In a pan heat oil.Add chana dal and urad dal and roast.
- Add green chilli and dry red chilli.
- Now add ivy gourd ( tinda) peeled washed and chopped to it.
- Let it cook and add salt and turmeric.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook. Remove from heat and cool.
- Grind to a fine paste with coconut and imli pulp.
- Garnish with mint leaf and serve.
Recipe Notes
You can add the tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaf.
