  • Mince/Grind the jackfruit pieces in a blender.
  • Take a thick bottomed pan and heat jaggery and little water to make thick syrup. Strain this mixture once dissolved. Add the minced jackfruit and keep stirring continuously till the mixture thicknesses becomes dark. Add the cardamom powder and stir
  • Add ghee when the halwa starts to get thicken. At a stage it will leave the sides of the kadai like a halwa. When the mixture can be rolled into a ball, put the contents into a greased dish. Smoothen the top surface with a spoon.
  • When the jackfruit halwa has cooled down, cut into pieces and serve. Store in airtight containers.
