The pure desi flavors of Saffron, honey , Elaichi and Sesame seeds in a cake take it to another level altogether.
Since I love my desi mithai flavors in cakes and cupcakes, this one really blew me away and is my absolute favorite.

Ingredients
- Maida 1 cup
- Sugar 7 tablespoon
- Oil 2 tablespoon
- Butter at room temperature 2 tablespoon
- Curd 4 tablespoon
- Milk 10 tablespoon
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
- Cornflour 1 tablespoon
- Elaichi powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Saffron a few strands
- Almond flakes 2 tablespoon
- White sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
- Mixture of 2 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon honey
- Salt a pinch

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 10 minutes on bake mode.
- Grease a cake tin of 6 or 7 inches.
- Heat 2 tablespoon milk to lukewarm and add in the saffron.
- Mix up the curd, saffron-milk, butter, oil, sugar, remaining milk .
- Take the maida, cornflour, elaichi powder, salt, baking powder, baking soda in a plate.
- Sieve these dry mix into the wet ingredients.
- Bring together the dry and wet ingredients.
- Adjust consistency like idli batter by adding in some milk or water.
- Pour the cake batter in the greased cake tin.
- Sprinkle the almond flakes and sesame all-over.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes till done.
- Remove from oven and de mould after 10 minutes.
- Cool on wire-rack. Apply the honey and butter mixture all over the top.
- The cake ,though eggless will be very soft and spongy
