Ingredients
For the Black Plum Puree:
- 15 Indian Plums jamun, naaval palam, ripe, approximately 1 cup pitted, black
- 1 cup Water for blending
For the Lemonade:
- 2 Lemons juiced
- 4 tbsp Sugar adjust to taste
- 6 leaves Mint Leaves for garnish, fresh
- 4 cup Water for diluting
- 1 cup Ice for serving
Instructions
Prepare the Black Plum Puree
- Wash and pit 15 ripe Indian black plums. Roughly chop them.
- Combine the chopped plums and 1 cup of water in a blender.
- Blend until completely smooth.
Make the Lemonade
- Strain the plum puree through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher. Discard the solids.
- Add the juice of 2 lemons, 4 tablespoons of sugar, and 4 cups of water to the pitcher.
- Stir well to combine and dissolve the sugar.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness as needed.
Serve
- Add ice to glasses. Pour the lemonade over the ice.
- garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
