Ingredients
 

Fruits & Sweetener

  • 1 cup Jamun black plum, depending on size., deseeded. approximately 15-20 jamuns
  • 2 tbsp Honey or to taste; adjust to your sweetness preference

Dairy & Liquid

  • 1 1/2 cup Yogurt plain, low-fat yogurt or curd
  • 1/2 cup Milk whole milk, almond milk, or your preferred type

Other

  • 1/2 cup Ice Cubes crushed ice for a smoother texture
  • 1/4 tsp Jamun Seed Powder optional; sun-dried and powdered jamun seeds (see expert tips)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Jamun

  • Wash and deseed the jamuns.

Blend the Ingredients

  • Combine the deseeded jamuns and honey in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Add the yogurt, milk, and crushed ice. Blend again until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If using, add the jamun seed powder at this stage.

Serve

  • Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • For a richer flavor, slightly chill the milk and yogurt before blending.
  • To make jamun seed powder: Spread the cleaned seeds on a tray and sun-dry them for 2-3 days, or until completely dry. Then, grind them into a fine powder using a spice grinder or food processor. Store in an airtight container.
  • Adjust the amount of honey to your liking. You may also use other sweeteners like maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • For a thicker smoothie, add a few more ice cubes or a frozen banana.
