Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies for the crust until they become fine crumbs.
- Add the melted butter and pulse again until the mixture is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a tart pan with a removable bottom. Press it firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the pan.
- Freeze the crust while you prepare the white chocolate filling. This helps it firm up.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle simmer, but do not boil vigorously.
- Remove the cream from the heat and add the chopped white chocolate. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt.
- Stir the mixture gently until the white chocolate is completely melted and smooth. This creates the ganache.
- Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies. Pour the white chocolate filling over the chilled Oreo crust.
- Decorate the tart with Oreo cookies and chocolate chips. Chill for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the filling to set completely.
- Carefully remove the tart from the pan. Slice into triangles and serve.
- This elegant dessert is perfect for a Christmas dinner party.
