Mithi Bread

Simple but sweet dessert that kids are sure to love.

  • 4 brown bread slices
  • Oil for deep frying the slices
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cardamoms


  • Cut each slice into 2 parts. Deep fry till golden brown. Remove on tissue paper. Prepare the Sugar Syrup now.
  • Mix the water and sugar and Cook on slow flame till sugar melts. Add the elaichi. Leave to cool just a bit. Add the bread slices. Let them soak for 10 minutes. Remove from syrup and cool in fridge before serving.
