Instructions

Prepare the Edible Gum

  • Toast the edible gum in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant. Set aside to cool.

Roast the Flour and Coconut

  • Heat the ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan or kadai over medium heat. Add the whole wheat flour and roast, stirring constantly, until lightly golden brown. Add the shredded coconut and roast for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Combine and Mix

  • Add the grated jaggery and cardamom powder to the pan. Mix well to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the jaggery melts and the mixture is well combined and slightly sticky. Stir in the toasted edible gum.

Shape the Laddoos

  • Remove the pan from the heat. Let the mixture cool slightly. Moisten your hands with water. Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into a ball to form a ladoo. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve the laddoos immediately or store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
