About Grapes And Lemon Slushie
Slushies, often called slush puppies, are classic summer treats made with crushed ice and flavored syrups. This refreshing Grapes and Lemon Slushie takes it up a notch by using frozen black grapes as the base, blending them with zesty lemon juice for a naturally sweet and tangy twist.
Not only does this slushie taste delicious, but it also preserves the natural nutrients of the fruits, making it a healthier choice for cooling off during hot days. You can enjoy it with or without organic sugar, customizing the sweetness to your liking—just blend and serve for an instant, revitalizing treat.

- Keep your blender and serving glasses ready.

- Add the sugar lemon juice mixture.
- Blend a little coarser and transfer to the serving glasses.
- Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes
The grapes should be frozen well enough before preparation.
I have not added ice for this recipe as the flavor of grape fruit may dilute. But if you still wish, you can add crushed ice.
Additional Tips
- For an extra burst of flavor, add a few fresh mint leaves to the blender along with the grapes and lemon juice; this will impart a cooling herbal note that pairs well with the tangy slushie.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve before serving to remove grape skins and seeds, resulting in a more refined slushie.
- To make an adult version, stir in a splash of vodka or white rum before serving for a refreshing summer cocktail.
- Freeze the blended mixture in popsicle molds for homemade grape-lemon ice pops—perfect for kids or as a fun party treat.
