Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For an extra layer of crunch and flavor, rim your serving glasses with a mixture of crushed roasted peanuts and a pinch of chili powder before pouring in the slushie.
- If you want a vegan or less sweet version, substitute Sprite with chilled sparkling water and adjust the sugar to taste, then add a splash of freshly squeezed lime for brightness.
- To intensify the tamarind flavor, soak the tamarind pulp overnight in the fridge with a few fresh mint leaves and a sliver of ginger, then strain before using.
- Freeze the tamarind mixture in ice cube trays beforehand and blend with Sprite right before serving for a perfectly frosty slushie texture that won’t dilute as it melts.
