Fenugreek leaves popularly known as Methi possess a great deal of medicinal value It is known to possess anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties. Methi ( fenugreek) Bhaji is one of the simple and healthiest recipes made with garlic, lentils ( toor daal) and minimal number of spices that helps bring out and enhance the flavor of fenugreek. Garlic gives good aroma to the any dish when cooked well is also very good for diabetes as it helps to lower or regulate blood sugar. Toor dal is also referred to as lentil is not only delicious, it also has a number of health benefits.

  • 2 bunch Methi Fenugreek leaves
  • 2-3 green chilli
  • 8-9 garlic petals
  • 1 table spoon toor dal lentil
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt


  • Wash and clean the methi leaves Wash the tur daal and soak for half an hour
  • Add one teaspoon of oil to the kadhai and heat it. Once oil is hot add crushed garlic petals,copped chilies and fry it until the garlic turns to pink.
  • Now add the dal and add chopped fenugreek leaves add salt to taste. Cook this vegetable for 4 to 5 minutes without lid, stirring occasionally.
  • In 4 to 5 minutes, your vegetable is cooked dry and now your methi sabji is ready.
