This is a very famous Sindhi street food from Ulhasnagar, Maharshtra. Moong dal sandwich is a favourite evening snack amongst us Sindhi,s it is also quite filling loaded with salad and teekhi meethi chutneys.

Ingredients
- To make the Dal: cup yellow moong Dal
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt
- To temper the Dal :
- Ghee 1 spoon
- Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
- Garam Masala powder 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Cucumber and boiled beetroot sliced in rounds 1 each
- Onion cut into rounds 1
- Green Coriander/ mint chutney 3-4 spoons
- Tomato saute 2 tbsp
- Salt
- Chaat Masala to sprinkle
- Red Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Cucumber onion and beetroot chunks to garnish
- Black Pepper powder a pinch
- Sev/farsan to garnish
- Butter 2 tsp

Instructions
- Clean wash and soak the moong dal for 15-20 minutes. Pressure cook it with salt and turmeric powder till 3 whistles blow. Whisk it nicely and keep it of thick consistency.
- To temper the dal, heat ghee in a pan. Add the coriander powder, lal mirch powder, garam masala powder, then turn off the flame. Pour this over the dal and simmer for a few minutes.
- To assemble the sandwich. Take the bread slices. On one slice apply butter, arrange the potato, onions and cucumber roundels. Sprinkle chaat masala, red chilli powder and garam masala powder.
- Now take another slice. Apply the green chutney and tomato sauce over it. Place it on the previous bread slice. Now heat the griddle. Put some butter/ ghee. Place this sandwich on to toast on both sides.
- Take this sandwich on a serving plate. Cut into four pieces. Pour the hot dal over it with a spoon. Sprinkle chaat masala red chilli powder, garam masala powder and black pepper powder. Drizzle green chutney over it.
- Garnish with chopped onions, cucumber and beetroot. Garnish with farsan/sev/bhujia and fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot.
