This is a very famous Sindhi street food from Ulhasnagar, Maharshtra. Moong dal sandwich is a favourite evening snack amongst us Sindhi,s it is also quite filling loaded with salad and teekhi meethi chutneys.

Instructions
Clean wash and soak the moong dal for 15-20 minutes. Pressure cook it with salt and turmeric powder till 3 whistles blow. Whisk it nicely and keep it of thick consistency.
To temper the dal, heat ghee in a pan. Add the coriander powder, lal mirch powder, garam masala powder, then turn off the flame. Pour this over the dal and simmer for a few minutes.
To assemble the sandwich. Take the bread slices. On one slice apply butter, arrange the potato, onions and cucumber roundels. Sprinkle chaat masala, red chilli powder and garam masala powder.
Now take another slice. Apply the green chutney and tomato sauce over it. Place it on the previous bread slice. Now heat the griddle. Put some butter/ ghee. Place this sandwich on to toast on both sides.
Take this sandwich on a serving plate. Cut into four pieces. Pour the hot dal over it with a spoon. Sprinkle chaat masala red chilli powder, garam masala powder and black pepper powder. Drizzle green chutney over it.
Garnish with chopped onions, cucumber and beetroot.
Garnish with farsan/sev/bhujia and fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot.
