Ingredients
For the Vegetable Cutlets
- 3 Potatoes boiled and mashed
- 1/2 cup Peas frozen, thawed
- 1/4 cup Peanuts roasted and crushed
- 1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
- 1.5 tsp Salt adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/4 tsp Pepper black, ground
- 1/4 tsp Chili Powder or to taste, red
- 1/2 cup Cream or heavy cream
- 1 Cucumber grated
- 1 Carrot grated
- 1/2 cup Onion finely chopped
For Coating & Serving
- 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour for slurry
- 1 cup Breadcrumb
- 4 Dog Buns hot
- 2 tbsp Butter melted, optional
- Ketchup Mayonnaise, Or Other Desired Condiments, to taste
- 1 tbsp Oil for frying
Instructions
Prepare the Vegetable Cutlets
- Mash the boiled potatoes. Add the thawed peas, crushed peanuts, all-purpose flour, salt, garam masala, black pepper, and red chili powder. Mix well and form into cylindrical cutlets.
Prepare the Cream Mixture
- In a bowl, combine the cream, grated cucumber, grated carrot, and chopped onion. Gently mix and season with salt and pepper. Remove excess water from the vegetables if needed.
Coat and Fry the Cutlets
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and water to create a thin slurry. Dip each cutlet into the slurry, then coat thoroughly with bread crumbs. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry or deep fry the cutlets until golden brown and crispy.
Assemble the Hot Dogs
- Lightly brush the hot dog buns with melted butter (optional) and toast lightly. Spread the prepared cream mixture inside each bun. Place a crispy vegetable cutlet on top of the cream mixture. Add your favorite ketchup, mayonnaise, or other condiments. Serve immediately and enjoy!
