  • 1 kg Beetroot
  • 1 kg Milk
  • 3 tbsp Desi Ghee
  • 150 gm Garnishing or khoya khoya for
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder green
  • 2 tsp Pista chopped
  • 300 gm Sugar
  • 2 tsp Garnishing or almond almond flakes for


  • Heat the pan, add ghee in it
  • Add grated beetroot and cook for 5 mts.
  • After 5 mts add milk, boil the mixture till milk has reduced in quantity then add sugar.
  • Let the mixture cook for 15 mts, once the mixture dried out add Caedmon powder, pista chopped and give a quick stir.
  • Beetroot halwa is ready, sprinkle some khoya on it. Serve it immediately.

Recipe Notes

  • Do not over cook the ingredients.
