Instructions
- clean and remove thick stem of the spinach leaves, wash and keep aside
- heat water in a wide bowl to blanch spinach leaves
- bring it to boil and switch off the flame
- put washed leaves into the hot water and leave for 2-3 minutes
- then strain it and grind with green chilli using mixer grinder with little water
- extract the juice from the paste using a strainer and keep aside
- in a bowl, add rice flour, urad dal flour, sesame seeds and butter
- mix well with your fingers, it should be like bread crumbs
- now add spinach juice little by little and knead a medium stiff dough
- take the murukku maker with attachment
- grease with oil and fill the dough
- prepare spiral shaped chaklis by pressing the machine
- heat oil in a kadai
- when oil becomes hot, reduce the flame to low
- add 3-4 chaklis at a time into the oil and fry on low-medium flame till they turm crispy from both sides
- remove the chaklis from oil and drain on the absorbent paper
- serve or store in an air tight container after it becomes cool
