  • 1 cup Chole kabuli
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
  • Water As Needed
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera whole
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Chole Masala
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic or chilli, or paste chilli paste
  • 2 Onions finely chopped medium
  • 2 Tomato big pureed
  • to cup Coriander garnish
  • to Ginger julienne garnish
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Jeera Powder

  • Wash and soak the choles overnight. Next Morning, cook in pressure cooker with 3 cups water and salt for 4-5 whistles.
  • In a thick bottom pan add the oil and heat on.slow flame. Add the jeera and the onion. Cook till light pink. Add the dry masalas and fry for 1 minute. Add the tomato puree. Cook till the mixture looks well fried.
  • Add the boiled choles and let simmer for about 20 minutes. Adjust water consistency as per need. Lastly garnish with coriander leaves and ginger Juliennes. Serve hot with pooris with a dash of lemon juice and chopped onion on the side.
  • Seasoning can be adjusted as per personal.preference.
