Ingredients
  

  • Rice 1/2 cup
  • Yellow moong dal 1/4th cup
  • Jeggary gud 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/4th teaspoon
  • Cashew nuts 10
  • Almonds 10
  • Raisins 1 tablespoon
  • Ghee or clarified butter 1 tablespoon

  • Ingredients required for preparing sweet Pongal

  • Take rice and dal . In a heavy bottom pan dry roast till golden brown ( on low heat) Later , wash properly with water and keep aside .

  • Add approximately 1-2 glasses of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles

  • Add jeggary

  • By the time , heat ghee in a pan and fry all dry fruits one by one till Crisp and golden brown
  • Mix well jeggary and cook open for some time till jaggery dissloves . Lastly, add fried dry fruits with ghee and sprinkle cardamom powder
