Sakkarai ( Sweet Pongal )

Ingredients
- Rice 1/2 cup
- Yellow moong dal 1/4th cup
- Jeggary gud 1 cup
- Cardamom powder 1/4th teaspoon
- Cashew nuts 10
- Almonds 10
- Raisins 1 tablespoon
- Ghee or clarified butter 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Ingredients required for preparing sweet Pongal
- Take rice and dal . In a heavy bottom pan dry roast till golden brown ( on low heat) Later , wash properly with water and keep aside .
- Add approximately 1-2 glasses of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles
- Add jeggary
- By the time , heat ghee in a pan and fry all dry fruits one by one till Crisp and golden brown
- Mix well jeggary and cook open for some time till jaggery dissloves . Lastly, add fried dry fruits with ghee and sprinkle cardamom powder
- Serve with lots of love and enjoy endlessly
